God of War (2025) is an epic cinematic adaptation of the legendary video game franchise, with Dwayne Johnson portraying Kratos — the Spartan warrior burdened by vengeance against the gods. In this opening chapter, Kratos lives in seclusion in the icy lands of the North, trying to bury his blood-soaked past while raising his son, Atreus.

Tragedy strikes when an ancient curse awakens the Norse gods: the bloodthirsty Thor, the vengeful Freya, and the powerful army of Valkyries. To protect Atreus and prevent an apocalyptic war between gods and mortals, Kratos is forced to return to the path of violence.
