New design from Tesla’s electric pickup, with charge via solar energy and futuristic design

Wolfgang IP is Tesla’s new electric pickup rival. The vehicle is charged via solar energy and has a range of 643 km.

Tesla announced its electric pickup, Cybertruck, in 2019, with a bold design proposal. Today, Wolfgang IP is introducing an electric car that could be the new rival of Elon Musk’s car. Wolfgang’s vehicle can be recharged using solar energy, and was named Thundertruck, having been created by a huge team of professionals with the aim of bringing a differentiated design and surprising autonomy.

According to the company, there are more than 30 new electric models in various stages, from concept to production, expected to be launched in the next two years.

However, there are few pickups, and most of them look conventional, without any inspiration, unlike Tesla’s electric pickup. According to the company, an international team of great designers from the automotive sector, as well as sculptors, research consultants, engineers and marketing professionals were assembled.

The automaker also claims that the electric car charged by solar energy was designed with eyes turned to the off-road in isolated places, where most of the time there are no filling stations for electric models, as in the deserts, for example. Therefore, it is enough to activate the awning with solar energy panels to recharge the electric pickup batteries.

In terms of specifications, the electric car will be sold with two configurations, one with 4 wheels and the other with 6 wheels, both with all-wheel drive. The most basic electric pickup has 800 horsepower, a torque of 360 kg and also a 180 kWh battery, which gives the model a range of 643 km.

The 6×6 version of the electric car that uses solar energy has a 210 kWh battery, which offers a range of 900 km and is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,5 seconds.

In addition to providing power, the 6 solar awnings even extend out from Tesla’s Cybertruck competitor electric pickup when the vehicle is stopped, creating a shade for those who wish to camp or just rest for a few minutes outside the vehicle. The project is still in its initial phase, so there is no forecast for sales to begin. However, the company projects that the price should be around US$ 70 for the 4×4 model.

Meet Tesla’s Cybertruck model

Tesla’s vehicle has three basic configurations, the most advanced of which are three electric motors that make the model go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.9 seconds.

In addition, it has a range of 800 km, and can carry up to 5 passengers excluding the driver. The model’s price ranges from US$ 40 to US$ 70, which is quite affordable compared to the Ford F-450, which costs up to US$ 90.530.
