Battleship 2 is set a decade after the first film. Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson) leads a global naval coalition against a new alien threat. These aliens, evolved from the previous ones, bring a fleet capable of manipulating the oceans, generating tsunamis and whirlpools.
Jason Statham is Commander Cole Hunter, a Navy SEAL who returns to investigate a submerged alien base. Gal Gadot plays Lena Carter, an intelligence operative who helps decipher alien communications. Together they discover that the aliens are planning to attack the Earth’s core.
The film culminates in an intense naval battle in the Pacific Ocean, where Cole and Lena undertake a daring mission to disable a powerful weapon. Cole sacrifices himself to save Earth, while Lena deciphers an alien distress signal, suggesting possible retaliation and opening the door to future sequels.
