Tom Hanks is rumored to reprise his iconic role as the simple yet extraordinary Forrest, in what could be Forrest Gump 2: A New Journey. While no official confirmation has been made, insiders suggest that Paramount Pictures and director Robert Zemeckis have explored ideas to bring the character back for another heartwarming adventure. According to sources, the screenplay may be inspired by Gump & Co., the 1995 novel by Winston Groom that served as a follow-up to the original book. Forrest Gump (1994) was a cultural phenomenon, winning six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Tom Hanks.
