After returning the Infinity Stones, Steve Rogers chooses not to return to the present but stays in the past to live a quiet life with Peggy Carter. However, peace is short-lived when a shadowy organization called “Erebus” — formed by remnants of Hydra — begins secretly manipulating world events from behind the scenes. To stop them, Steve abandons the title of Captain America and becomes a man with no name or flag: Nomad. Operating from the shadows, Nomad investigates Erebus’ rise while trying to avoid altering the timeline too drastically. He allies with a small covert team, including a young version of Nick Fury, a SSR agent named Jack Monroe (who will later inherit the Nomad mantle), and a former Soviet assassin — a former rival of Natasha Romanoff. As Erebus’ plan is revealed — the creation of a new super soldier serum powered by leaked Tesseract energy — Nomad faces a moral dilemma: Should he change history to save lives, or remain unseen and only interfere when necessary?
