Roman Reigns has always been outspoken and utterly dominant as The Tribal Chief, but things didn’t go in his favor on SmackDown last week. In fact, WWE has now released new footage which shows Reigns being visibly displeased.
As agreed upon during last week’s Monday Night RAW, Paul Heyman confirmed that Roman Reigns would confront Cody Rhodes in the ring alone, provided Rhodes also appeared without backup.
On this week’s SmackDown, both competitors met face-to-face, exchanging heated words before their anticipated main event clash for the WWE Universal title in two weeks in Philadelphia.
The tension peaked as Reigns, declining Cody’s handshake, abruptly left the ring. However, just when it seemed the confrontation was over, Reigns signaled for his Bloodline allies, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, to join him in assaulting Rhodes.
Anticipating Reigns’ move, Rhodes had prepared, and with help from Jey Uso and Seth Rollins, they foiled the Bloodline’s attack. WWE took to their Instagram and uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of The Bloodline after the aforementioned SmackDown segment, where Roman Reigns looked visibly
upset.
Fans eagerly await the next developments in Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns’ storyline in the WWE. Their ongoing feud has captured the audience’s attention, and it remains to be seen how the company will continue to shape their rivalry in the coming weeks.
