Relive 10 Memorable Moments Ahead of The Walking Dead Finale

The Walking Dead’s 12-year journey has so many memorable things that you need to review before this legendary series ends!

After 11 seasons, the post -apocalyptic journey of The Walking Dead is coming to an end. Fans are eagerly awaiting the final episode of the series, which will be released soon. With all its ups and downs, this legendary series  could not have lasted for 12 years without some highlights or precious moments that left a deep impression on viewers.

“TS-19” – Season 1, Episode 6

In the final episode of the first season, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the remaining survivors risked everything to find sanctuary at the CDC in Atlanta, only to be met by Dr. Jenner (Noah Emmerich). They demanded answers from him about the fate of the world and whether the apocalypse was over.

When showing them the diary of TS-19, Test Subject 19, Jenner provides details on how the walker virus works and tells them that the end time is evening. And as Rick leaves with the survivors, Dr. Jenner gives the answer to whether the apocalypse will end as a dark prediction: “The day will come when you won’t be “.

“Pretty Much Dead Already” – Season 2, Episode 7

Episode 7 of season 2 ended with a heartbreaking conclusion for Sophia (Madison Lintz), who missed most of the first half of the series. Several characters died searching for her, and her frustration with Hershel’s (Scott Wilson) rules grew, culminating in Glenn’s (Steven Yeun) bombing of Hershel’s warehouse.

Hershel’s false delusions lead him to keep the underground tunnel a secret. Feeling insulted, Shane (Jon Bernthal) leads a group to take over the warehouse and kill all the zombies in the underground tunnel in front of Hershel’s family. When it’s all over, Sophia is the last survivor. Her appearance perfectly matches the episode’s title, ” Pretty Much Dead Already .”

“Hounded” – Season 3, Episode 6

Michonne (Danai Gurira) flees Woodbury and is “hunted” by Merle (Michael Rooker). Meanwhile, the Governor (David Morrissey) continues to seduce Andrea (Laurie Holden) and tries to keep her in the dark about everything that is going on. At the prison, Rick continues to hallucinate after losing his wife while Glenn and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) join in the supply run.

After six episodes trapped by the Governor, Michonne’s escape turns into a desperate attempt to get past Merle to reach the sanctuary. In the final seconds of the episode, Michonne arrives at the prison, standing out among the bloody zombies.

“Clear” – Season 3, Episode 12

The writing on the wall reveals Morgan’s painful past. What he endured after losing his son to the unwitting murder of his beloved wife. Episode 12 Clear opens with Rick, Michonne, and Carl (Chandler Riggs) on a supply run. They face off against a sniper from above, while his men lay traps ahead. Finally, the episode ends with the haunting melody of Jamie N. Commons’ “Lead Me Home.”

“Too Far Gone” – Season 4, Episode 8

Billed as a fitting end for the cowardly Governor, the episode delves into the Governor’s new group of forces as they attempt to force the group out of prison. With Michonne and Hershel as hostages, negotiations quickly take place. The Governor eventually dies, but not before creating a period of chaos and the group begins to fall apart.

“No Sanctuary” – Season 5, Episode 1

After spending a long time  trapped in the train in the previous episodes, No Sanctuary is a fierce battle with the Terminus residents. This is an “elaborate” revenge staged by Carol (Melissa McBride) after she was banished by Rick in season 4.

Cannibalism in Terminus has become more prevalent than ever after nearly half a season of building up the Sanctuary. The bloody end of Terminus marks the destruction of similar locations along the group’s path.

“No Way Out” – Season 6, Episode 9

No Way Out opens with Daryl blowing up the Saviors with a rocket launcher, in what is widely considered the best episode of the legendary series The Walking Dead . Surrounded by walkers trying to breach the walls of Alexandria, Rick and the Alexandrians reuse the “trick” from episode 1 to struggle through the warehouse, figuring out a strategy to defeat them.

Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge) and her sons met a gruesome end in the avalanche that left Carl with an eye and forced him to remain immobile for 11 hours to save Alexandria. The sight of the crew banding together against the odds showed a depth of human resilience that The Walking Dead has never seen before.

“Sing Me A Song” – Season 7, Episode 7

One of the few Carl-centric episodes, Sing Me A Song follows Carl sneaking into the Savior’s compound. However, Negan lets Carl recruit him under his wing but constantly taunts Carl by demanding that he sing loudly without hiding his injured eye.

Meanwhile, captive Daryl finally gets a chance to escape Dwight’s (Austin Amelio) torture. The episode ends with Negan at home with Judith, impatiently waiting for Rick to return in the ruins of Alexandria.

“Some Guy” – Season 8, Episode 4

The aftermath of the deadly attack on the Saviors leaves Ezekiel surrounded by the dead bodies that protected him. The episode follows a crippled king who is brutally beaten when he is taken prisoner but is fortunately rescued by Jerry (Cooper Andrews). At the same time, Carol, Rick, and Daryl help the king free the kingdom from the Saviors’ invasion.

The king declares himself to be just a person not worth following, not worth people sacrificing to protect. In an effort to prove his love, Shiva sacrifices her own life to protect the king. The highlight of this episode is Ezekiel’s passionate speech and his return home after his defeat. Some Guy is considered one of the best episodes of season 8.

“Here’s Negan” – Season 10, Episode 23

After many seasons of being “despised”, the image of Negan in the hearts of the audience has changed from hate to love. As the episode that took the main characters through the dark hell, Here’s Negan successfully restored Negan’s humanity. Also in this episode, there appeared a flashback to his beautiful past with his wife Lucille.

Without the stellar performances of Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his real-life partner Hilarie Burton, Negan wouldn’t have such incredible depth and emotion. Often considered one of the best episodes of the series, episode 23 of season 10 transformed a man who was nearly beyond repair into a normal person in a way that felt “smooth” and natural.
