Bigg Boss is one of the most popular reality shows, usually hosted by Salman Khan. As the next season approaches, there has been speculation about who will be appearing on the show. Rumors have circulated that Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, was offered a chance to participate. However, in a recent conversation with IANS, Somy Ali revealed that this was merely a marketing strategy to attract more viewers.
Somy Ali reveals the truth about Bigg Boss
Somy Ali has denied the rumors about being approached by the Bigg Boss makers. She stated that the show’s filming duration is too long for her, and she cannot afford to leave her non-profit organization, No More Tears. Somy also mentioned that she has never watched an episode of the show and believes it is scripted.
Somy Ali’s statement
The rumored contestant said, “I can’t leave my non-profit organization to be a part of a show whose filming duration is far too long. I say this with the utmost respect for the show, but I have not watched a single episode of it and have no idea what it entails. I have heard it’s scripted, and I was going to be a contestant, something I have never discussed with anyone from the show who works behind the scenes.”
Somy Ali believes the show used her name
Somy Ali further stated that the show might be using her name as a strategy to boost ratings. She said, “I have never spoken to anyone from the show. Even if I were called as a contestant, I would not go. To be honest, all these things are a strategy to increase ratings, which networks often do. I have no intention of participating in any scripted reality show.”
Somy Ali and Salman Khan’s relationship
Somy Ali and Salman Khan were reportedly a couple for around eight years in the 1990s. They worked together on a film called Buland, but it was never released. The couple broke up in 1999, and Somy later accused Salman of cheating. During her brief Bollywood career, Somy Ali acted in about 10 films, often playing the lead role. Her last appearance in a film was in Chupp in 1997.
