Fujitora and Green Bull’s Mysterious Past Revealed in Volume 110!

One Piece Volume 110 was revealed by Oda recently, and it is expected to hit the shelves soon. This volume has proven to be quite exciting, given that it covers a pivotal part of Egghead Island, specifically where the battle against the Elders begins. Of course, there are a lot of exciting things that this volume covers, but fans are most interested in the SBS corner that comes with it.

As fans know, SBS is the cornerstone to every exciting volume release of One Piece, and Oda usually reveals quite a lot of exciting bits of information pertaining to various things in the story. As was expected, One Piece Volume 110 SBS reveals quite a lot of exciting information as well, and this release sees Oda tackle the topic of the newest Admirals Of the Marines, Fujitora and Green Bull. Fans have wanted to know their past for long, and finally, Oda has delivered upon that request and explained to the readers where they come from and what they used to do before they were Marines.

The New Admirals Of The Navy Are A Force To Be Reckoned With

The new Admirals of the Marines were elected at some point during the 2-year timeskip. The reason why the Marines needed two new Admirals was because of a power vacuum being created after the Paramount War. Sengoku left his job and ended up becoming the General Inspector. As such, the rank of the Marine Fleet Admiral needed to be filled. Someone had to rise to the position and lead this organization forward. Sengoku put forward Kuzan for this position, while some others, who were believers of Absolute Justice, put forward Sakazuki.

Does the World Government think of themselves as Gods? – Fujitora

Naturally, the Marines were split into two factions, and this whole conundrum was eventually resolved by Sakazuki and Kuzan fighting a battle against each other on the island of Punk Hazard in the New World. This island had previously been abandoned due to a major explosion that rendered it uninhabitable. This ended up becoming the battlefield for these animals, who fought a battle for 10 days. Immediately after the conclusion of this battle, a new Fleet Admiral was elected. Sakazuki was chosen for the position, while Kuzan ended up leaving the Navy and he eventually joined the Blackbeard Pirates.

Naturally, the Marines lost two powerful Admirals, and this meant that they required two new Admirals to join in. As was revealed in Dressrosa, these two Admirals were chosen through the World Military Draft, and they were named Green Bull and Fujitora. As described by Doflamingo himself, they’re both absolute monsters. In fact, fans have also seen glimpses of their strength and it is safe to say that they are tremendously strong and can even go up against a Yonko in battle, which is proof of their tremendous strength.

Given that they joined at some point during the timeskip, fans did not know where exactly they came from and what their past was. Naturally, readers were always curious about their backstories, and now, Oda has finally revealed it to the fans.

Oda Reveals Fujitora And Green Bull’s Past

Fujitora and Greenbull Had A Very Intriguing Past

In One Piece volume 110 SBS, Oda was asked directly about Admiral Fujitora and Green Bull’s past. Given that these two were elected to the World Military Draft, fans were curious about what their lives were before they joined the Navy and served the Government. Oda decided to answer this question properly this time and according to him, their lives were quite interesting, to say the least.

I heard both you and Green Bull are total monsters! – Doflamingo

According to Oda, these two were made in charge of the defense of the nations affiliated with the World Government at one point, and around that time, they were hand-picked by the Marines. They quickly rose to the rank of Admiral. This is a clear indication of their incredible level of strength. Oda also went into deep detail about each one of them.

Greenbull Was A Police Officer In The Past

According to Oda, Aramaki, also known as Admiral Green Bull, hails from the South Blue. He used to be a powerful police officer from a kingdom named Taya. Given his rather delinquent personality, Green Bull caused a major incident pertaining to a woman in the Kingdom.

This caused great trouble for him, and he ended up being thrown into prison. It is unknown what exactly he did and why he was thrown into prison. Perhaps, his tattoo, which clearly reads “twin suicide by the river,” has something to do with it.

Regardless, at this point in time, Green Bull already possessed tremendous strength. It did not take long for this news to get to the World Government and they decided to seek him out personally. He was appointed with the World Military Draft, and was immediately given a spot in the ranks of the Admirals. That is how Aramaki ended up becoming a Marine Admiral and the rest is history.

Fujitora Worked As A Bodyguard At One Point In His Past

While Green Bull’s past is certainly interesting, fans are more excited to know how Admiral Fujitora became as strong as he was, and why he joined the Navy in the first place. According to Oda, Admiral Fujitora, whose real name is Issho, hails from the West Blue. Interestingly enough, this is the same sea where Shanks hails from. Fujitora is a gambler, and even back then, he was into gambling quite a bit. At one point, he incurred great losses due to losing out while gambling on Twin Snake Island. It is implied that Fujitora was working as a bodyguard at a place following this event, and then, this place was bought out by the World Government for a tremendous amount of money.

It is likely that this is how the World Government found out about him and how he was made to join the ranks of the Navy and then promoted to the position of Admiral. But, Fujitora’s past is deeper than that. It is also revealed in the SBS that Fujitora was a former Defense Military Chief Defense Military Chief in the Aoi Kingdom. This Kingdom existed in the Grand Line at one point, but was destroyed because of war, which explains why Fujitora is as much of a pacifist as he is. For some reason, he ended up becoming a war criminal, which might be because he rose against those who sought to destroy his country.

Perhaps, those people were affiliated with the Government. Regardless, fans do not know the whole truth of it, but what they do know is that eventually, the World Government will be made aware of this fact, which implies that his status as a war criminal isn’t known to them just yet. This is a very interesting detail that Oda included in the SBS, and hopefully, it will make for a very intriguing plot point to tackle later on.
