Plot Summary:
The story centers on Robert Thorn, an American diplomat, and his wife, Katherine, who experiences a traumatic childbirth in Rome, resulting in the loss of their child. Without Katherine’s knowledge, Robert is persuaded to adopt another newborn boy in the hospital. They name him Damien and raise him as their own. However, as Damien grows, strange and terrifying events begin to occur. Animals react violently to him, people around him die under mysterious circumstances, and strange symbols begin to appear, pointing to a dark prophecy.
As the Thorns become more suspicious, they uncover unsettling truths about Damien’s origins. Robert learns that his son may actually be the Antichrist, the prophesied bringer of apocalypse, and that those who have been protecting him are part of a dark cult. Torn between his love for his son and his responsibility to humanity, Robert faces a moral and terrifying decision: to end Damien’s life or risk the rise of ultimate evil.
