A disgraced journalist, Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), is looking for a big story to revive his career. While investigating a strange incident in a small New England town, he stumbles upon a young, deaf woman named Alice (Cricket Brown). After experiencing a mysterious vision, Alice miraculously regains her hearing and begins to perform seemingly divine miracles, such as healing the sick.
Alice claims to have been visited by the Virgin Mary, who gave her the power to heal. As news of her miracles spreads, people flock to the town, believing they are witnessing a holy event. However, Gerry and a local priest begin to uncover darker truths about the entity Alice is communicating with. It becomes clear that the so-called “Virgin Mary” may not be what she claims, and her intentions could be far more sinister.
The film builds to a climactic confrontation where faith, courage, and sacrifice are tested in a battle against the malevolent force.
