In the kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Elsa and Anna grow up as close sisters until Elsa’s magical ability to control ice and snow nearly harms Anna during a childhood accident. To protect both her sister and the kingdom, Elsa is isolated by her parents, the King and Queen, who tragically die in a shipwreck, leaving Elsa heir to the throne. On her coronation day, Elsa accidentally reveals her powers to the public and flees to the mountains, unintentionally plunging Arendelle into eternal winter. Anna, determined to bring her sister home, sets out on a journey with an ice harvester named Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a magically animated snowman named Olaf. As Anna searches for Elsa, she also faces betrayal from the charming Prince Hans, who reveals a dark plan to seize the throne. In a climactic confrontation on a frozen fjord, Elsa learns that love — not fear — is the key to controlling her magic, just as Anna makes a selfless act to save her.
