Dragon Ball’s Future Gohan Goes Super Saiyan in Fanart That’s Beyond Badass

A stunning fanart featuring Dragon Ball’s Future Gohan has ignited a fire among fans of Akira Toriyama’s work. The piece, created by the talented DBSKAKERU1, depicts the iconic character in his Super Saiyan standing as Earth’s last hope. The image perfectly captures the essence of Goku’s son, one of the most beloved iterations of Gohan in the franchise.

DBSKAKERU1 presumably presents Gohan during his encounter with Androids 17 and 18, a battle that took place during Trunks’ flashbacks in Dragon Ball Z’s Cell Saga. This can be inferred due to the young half-Saiyan having lost his arm, as well as the destroyed city that surrounds him. While not confirmed, this fanart could be a tribute to Gohan’s death in this timeline, as it fits the description Trunks gave of how his master faced the Androids alone before his untimely death.

Dragon Ball was created by Akira Toriyama; anime adaptation produced by Toei Animation

In Dragon Ball’s future timeline, most life on Earth has been annihilated by two terrifying beings created by Dr. Gero, Androids 17 and 18. The Z Warriors gave their lives to stop these cybernetic villains from destroying the planet, but were tragically killed in combat. This left Gohan as the last defender of Earth, a role that he took extremely seriously. Inspired by his friends’ bravery, he became a fierce and valiant warrior who would not hesitate to fight the Androids if it meant saving lives.

Despite 17 and 18 being stronger than him, Gohan never relented in his attempts to defeat them. He trained day and night, becoming stronger and more resilient with each battle. In the end, his determination was not enough to grant him victory, but Goku’s son still decided to go down fighting. DBSKAKERU1’s fanart is an amazing representation of Future Gohan’s indomitable fighting spirit. In this fanart, Trunks’ master is facing his most dangerous opponents without an ounce of fear, ready to die if it means protecting the planet that he loves.

Gohan Is The Reason Why The Future Was Saved

Gohan inspired Trunks with his unfaltering courage

In Future Trunks’ eyes, Gohan is the bravest and most admirable being in existence. Vegeta’s son was born in a world where you could be killed any day due to the threat of the Androids. Most of his days were spent in hiding with his mother, Bulma, praying that the horrifying villains would not find them. When he decided to fight for humanity, Gohan was his only supporter, teaching him how to fight and encouraging him to become a hero.

When Goku’s son perished, fighting the Androids alone to prevent Trunks from being hurt in battle, Trunks became determined to defeat them. He became a time-traveling warrior to help his friends from another timeline prevent the Android’s rampage and to become strong enough to avenge his master. If not for Gohan inspiring Trunks to be a brave warrior, the future timeline would never have been saved from Cell and the Androids.
