THE WALKING DEAD has kept viewers engrossed throughout the entire season so far with a number of unexpected twists and turns – but could one final shocking move involving Judith Grimes and Negan be about to finish off the show’s tenth season?

The Walking Dead has enjoyed an action-packed season 10 so far. From the Whisperers taking on Hilltop, to Michonne (played by Danai Gurira) leaving, AMC viewers have seen quite a lot of unexpected events take place. However, perhaps the most unexpected thing to occur this year was the death of Alpha (Samantha Morton) at the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Alpha’s death sent ripples through both the fandom and the series, as the Whisperers were forced to adapt and overcome losing their leader.

However, while Alpha was still alive she managed to do some damage to the community in Hilltop, and Alexandria.

And the latest attack on Hilltop could be the key event which sealed Negan’s fate in episodes to come.

During the latest siege on Hilltop Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming) was forced to defend herself from Whisperers for the first time.

This meant she was also forced to kill a living being for the first time – a Whisperer in a mask.

It was also around this siege that Judith began losing everything she loved.

From her home burning down, to losing some of her friends, to her mother, Michonne, leaving her, it all started at the burning of Hilltop.

Fans will also remember that Negan was the one who advised Alpha throughout this process in order to get closer to her.

While Negan did eventually kill Alpha, he made it convincing enough that the majority of Hilltop burned to the ground before he killed the tyrant.

Despite the good he has done, many people still do not like Negan, and are looking for their own pound of flesh.

But in a turn of events, what if Judith was the person to end his life instead of someone predictable such as Aaron (Ross Marquand)?

This would be a poetic end to Negan’s story, as he was at first responsible for the death of Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), and was later imprisoned by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).

Could Judith be Negan’s end of the line?

Meanwhile, fans have begun theorising over who the masked figure was in the latest trailer for the season finale.

Viewers have become convinced the masked figure could be a huge character from season one.

After the return of Morgan Jones (Lennie James) back in season three, viewers have always been a little suspicious about his son.

Now, fans believe Duane (Adrian Kali Turner) will be coming back to the show in the coming episodes.

Speaking out on Twitter one fan wrote: “It would be so cool if it was somehow Duane tbh.”

A third chimed in to add: “How epic would it be if the masked character with the pickaxes (or whatever they are) was Duane Jones, son of Morgan Jones. Maybe he never died and 10 years later he’s back and a bada**.” (sic)
