Rick Ross and 50 Cent have been involved in a dispute for a long time. The dispute took a different turn this time after DJ Akademiks shared a video through his Instagram page on July 26, 2024. The clip allegedly featured Cent’s former partner Cuban Link alongside Travis Scott as they went together inside a car. The podcaster wrote in the caption:
“Travis Scott done sniped 50 cent ex girlfriend Cuban Link. The gram finna be hilarious today when Fif wake up.”
Considering that Ross and Cent’s issues have not ended until now, the former took the opportunity to troll the rapper in the comments section of Akademiks’ post. He referred to 50 Cent, also known as Curtis James Jackson III, by writing:
“Ak forgot to tag you fam @50cent.”

Netizens also shared their reactions below the post with one of them saying that the duo would travel to a place where “money resides.” A user stated that Curtis does not care about anything that happens in the video since Cuban is his ex-girlfriend. Another user referred to Rick Ross’ assault incident that happened last month at the Ignite Music Festival. It reads:
“Ain’t no coming back from that L you took in Canada.”

On the other hand, Rick Ross posted a lineup of photos and videos in his Instagram Stories, targeting Curtis and Scott. He even reposted Akademiks’ video and wrote:
“Many men, many many many many men – @50cent.”
There were a few videos where Ross’ camera focused on a luxurious car and he said in one of them:
“@50cent how much u charge to perform at 2025 @rickrosscarshow ?”

Rick Ross and 50 Cent’s beef started more than 20 years ago in the late 2000s and the former even targeted Cent in his single Mafia Music in 2009. The problems reportedly began at a BET event where Curtis stared at Ross.
The rappers have even spoken against each other on different occasions, with Ross claiming in an interview with Complex last year that Curtis has ruined the careers of the creatives.

The pair’s romance dates back to 2019 when they appeared together on Instagram Live, speaking about their first date. Notably, Curtis was 44 years old at the time and Cuban was 25. Curtis said during the live session that when he first met Cuban, she gave him an address to the restaurant where they went for the date. The latter responded by saying,
“I had to make sure you were like … real. You wasn’t coming to my house.”
Also known as Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines, she soon began posting photos posing with 50 Cent on her Instagram page. However, rumors of their separation emerged in 2020 after fans spotted that Jamira’s pictures with Curtis were missing from her social media timeline.
Although none of them addressed the breakup on any platform, the duo appeared during the second season premiere of BMF. This even led to speculations that they were engaged after fans saw a ring on Cuban Link’s hand.
Curtis addressed his relationship with Cuban Link in his book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter in 2020, saying that the duo worked in their relationship through collage-making. In an interview with People magazine at the same time, 50 Cent disclosed he told Cuban to send a picture of something she wants for more than 30 days. He continued:
“At the end of it, we put the two vision boards together and talked about the things that don’t match up. It sparked conversations that we probably wouldn’t have gotten to randomly, and it was easier for us to express it because it’s so early.”
Cuban Link pursued a successful career as a model after joining Wilhelmina Models in 2016, as per People magazine. She then launched a brand called Cuban Fit, establishing herself as a popular face in the world of fitness.
