French photographer Amar reveals the story of how he captured the romantic stroll between BTS ‘ V and Blackpink ‘s Jennie in Paris.

In May 2023, French photographer Amar Taoualit made headlines in the K-pop world with a video that allegedly showed BTS’ V and Blackpink’s Jennie taking a romantic stroll along the Seine River in Paris.
During a recent appearance on the Sabo Production podcast, he revealed how he captured and filmed the video.
Amar explained that he often took photos of American celebrities and was initially not interested in V and Jennie. However, a friend, a huge K-pop fan, tipped him off that they were in Paris.
He added that there was no public information about Jennie being in Paris and that she was believed to be in Thailand. After filming the video, Amar waited three days before uploading it to avoid fans disturbing the two celebrities and flocking to the area.
To film the scene, Amar waited for an hour or two outside a club on the Champs-Élysées until he saw the two leaving hand in hand. After sending the photo to his friend, who confirmed that the photo was remarkable, he took his bike and followed them. Although he lost them for a moment, he found them again near the pier. They passed him and took a photo at the Eiffel Tower, but when they noticed him, he stopped filming.
Security then approached him but left after deciding he was no threat to the two idols. Amar continued to follow them to the pier, noticing the increased security and discreetly recorded the video. He filmed for 1 minute and 30 seconds and confirmed their identities with a friend who passed by and recognized them.
Eventually, Korean media outlets contacted him for the video, but Amar refused and posted it on his social media accounts.
