One Piece: Oda Finally Reveals The Reason Behind The Creation Of Tequila Wolf

One Piece chapter 1125 dropped recently, and it is safe to say that this week’s chapter was absolutely jam-packed with tremendous amounts of information, and shocking events that included the deaths of major characters.

Of course, while the deaths were the most exciting part of the chapter, given that they left the fans with their jaws wide open, there were other interesting bits of information in the chapter as well, which might have been overlooked by many.

One of the most interesting parts in One Piece chapter 1125 came towards the very end, where the Revolutionary Army was finally seen going over every bit of information that Vegapunk revealed in his message. Of course, the key bit of information here was that the world of One Piece was essentially going to sink, and with that, many previous questions that fans had in their minds were clarified as well.

The Introduction Of Tequila Wolf In One Piece

Nico Robin was sent to Tequila Wolf

Dragon’s Forces Liberated Tequila Wolf Momentarily

Tequila Wolf is a unique place that fans were introduced to in the pre-timeskip of One Piece. To be more specific, this is the place where Nico Robin was sent after the destruction of the Straw Hats Pirates on the island of Sabaody Archipelago. It was Bartholomew Kuma, the former Warlord of the Sea, who destroyed the Straw Hat Pirates and separated them, although it was later revealed that he did all this to save the Straw Hat Crew. Every single member of the crew was sent to a unique location, with Robin being transported to Tequila Wolf. It was clear for the fans to see that Tequila Wolf was the most mysterious place of all that fans saw in regards to the locations where Straw Hats were sent. This is simply because this place had an ominous feeling to it, and at the same time, the reason behind its existence was not clear. Of course, naturally, places in the One Piece world don’t need a reason to exist, but the case of Tequila Wolf was quite special. This is because Tequila Wolf was actually not an island at all. Instead, it was a giant bridge that had seemingly no end.

This giant bridge spanned across a significant part of the world, and it was revealed that it had been under construction for about 700 years. Fans were utterly astonished as to why such a giant structure existed in the world of One Piece, and why it had been under construction for centuries upon centuries. Of course, given that fans already knew bits of information about the Void Century at this point, they quickly tied it to this 100-year blank. But, a lot of information was still needed as to why this place was created and what the end goal of the World Government was with Tequila Wolf.

What fans did know at this point in the story was that Tequila Wolf was created using slave labor. Essentially, all the slaves that the World Government acquired through various means were used in the creation of this island. Slaves were beaten and abused heavily so that they worked as hard as possible and helped build this bridge. They were given the bare minimum to survive and lived in tragic conditions. This mystery of Tequila Wolf was not focused on all that much back then and this is simply because the focus of the story at that point was the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and, of course, the upcoming Summit War.

The Reason Behind The Creation Of Tequila Wolf

Tequila Wolf Was Created Due To The Sinking World

Fans have been wondering about the reason behind the creation of Tequila Wolf for ages now. In fact, the question of why this place was created has been messing with the minds of readers for over a decade now. One Piece chapter 1125 finally gave the fans the answer to this question, and everything is starting to fall into place now. Mysteries that were once considered to be massive and made no sense back in the day are now finally explained and that is the beauty of One Piece.

Oda usually builds his stories in a way where certain plot points that are introduced years ago are then brought back into the story after a few decades, and that certainly is masterful for the fans to see. While the waiting period is long and excruciating sometimes, it certainly is worth it when the major reveal is finally made.

This is why they spent the last 700 years forcing the slaves to build all those gigantic structures! – Ivankov

Tequila Wolf And the Sinking One Piece World

As for Tequila Wolf, in One Piece chapter 1125, plans finally got an answer about the reason behind its creation. Clearly, Tequila Wolf was created by the World Government with unknown plans in their minds. However, with the recent information that was revealed by Vegapunk, it is now clear as to why this bridge was created. Simply put, the world of One Piece is going to sink soon and that is precisely why Tequila Wolf exists. During the Void Century, the World Government got their hands on ancient weapons. It was the incorrect usage of these ancient weapons that caused the world to sink 200 meters under the sea level.

The old One Piece world that existed is actually under the waves now, and, the World Government is still in possession of these weapons, with them having recently secured the eternal Motherflame and, with that, the factory to keep on producing it, as well as the person to keep on producing it as well, that is, York. Essentially, the World Government now has a weapon to fire on every country that stands in their path and opposes them. But, this great power comes at a great price as well.

After the destruction of each country, the world’s conditions were affected greatly and chaotic conditions led to the water level rising significantly. After the destruction of Lulusia, which was seen recently, water levels rose by a total of 1 meter. If the ancient weapons are utilized again and more Islands are razed in the world of One Piece, then, fans will most definitely get to see the water levels rising even further, and many islands sinking completely under the ocean, as was predicted by Vegapunk. In his words, the world is going to sink again, and it is going to be a catastrophe.

Keeping that in mind, fans now know why Tequila Wolf was built in the first place. The Government knew that they were going to plunge the world of One Piece into even more chaos and caused the water levels to rise again. Essentially, this is what they refer to as the Great Cleansing. They quash all rebellion by completely destroying countries and, with that, causing the water level in the world to rise, so everyone else who knows about the rebellion or is planning to rebel is sunk under the waves as well. Of course, the World Government still wants to control the world and, because of that, places that still allow for the rehabilitation of those who survive exist. That is precisely why Tequila Wolf exists.

We must hurry and achieve victory for our cause! – Dragon

It essentially allows the World Government to recreate the world as they see fit after quelling all rebellion and starting the world anew. In fact, One Piece chapter 1125 revealed that Tequila Wolf is not the only such bridge. Along with it, Rum Wolf, Bourbon Wolf, and Vodka Wolf also exist, with similar purposes to serve in mind of the Government.
