Mumbai: Actor Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan’s breakup has long been one of Bollywood’s most talked-about stories. The duo dated for several years after starring together in the 1999 film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. Before Aishwarya, Salman was in a steady relationship with Somy Ali, who recently shared exclusive insights during an interview with Zoom TV.

Somy recalled an incident during the filming of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, revealing a moment of confusion. “I called Salman, but he didn’t pick up. So, I dialed Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who told me, ‘He can’t speak to you right now because he’s in a shot.’ I thought, ‘If he’s in a shot, why aren’t you directing it?

Why are you picking up my phone call?’ The logic defied me, and he was cornered,” she explained.

Somy further elaborated, “Aishwarya started coming to Salman’s gym where we lived. We were on the ground floor of Galaxy, which also had a gym.” She clarified that Aishwarya and Salman’s love blossomed during the filming, and she began receiving information from house staff.
