Taylor Swift is loving life on the sidelines!
Multiple sources recently spoke to Us Weekly about how much the 34-year-old pop sensation adores supporting her Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend, Travis Kelce, 34, in his football career.
“She loves cheering Travis on and supporting him as much as he loves cheering her on,” one source told the outlet. The support is not one-sided, as the NFL star has been to 14 of Swift’s shows from the Eras Tour, for which he has traveled across the world.
A separate source told the outlet that the singer-songwriter is thrilled that football season is upon us. “Taylor has come to love football and is really excited the season is back,” the insider remarked. The “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer has shown immense support for Kelce this season as she has been in attendance at all of the Chiefs games, cheering her man on. Swift was at the season opener on Sunday, September 5, against the Baltimore Ravens and at the Chiefs versus the Cincinnati Bengals game on Sunday, September 15.
Per the second source, the 14-time Grammy winner likes the “community” football provides her with and how nice of a break it is from her world of music and performing; they also noted how Kelce is thrilled that Swift, 34, has thrown herself into this. “She’s loved being around the football community. It’s a reprieve from work for her, and Travis is excited she’s fully ingrained in his world.”
It’s fair to say the superstar has fully immersed herself in her boyfriend’s world of sports as she has made an effort to befriend other wives and girlfriends on the team. Swift is good friends with the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany. On Sunday, September 15, the Emmy winner attended Patrick’s birthday party at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. Shawna Weatherby, partner of Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, posted some adorable photobooth pictures on her Instagram story from the party posing with Swift and Chariah Gordon, fiancée of Chiefs wide receiver Carey Mecole Hardman Jr.
