Shah Rukh Khan recalled the time when he and Salman Khan were scolded by Mamta Kulkarni on Karan Arjun set. ‘You guys are ruining the song, come after rehearsing the steps,’ they were told.
Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have not shared screen space on many occasions and the first time they appeared on the screen together was for Rakesh Roshan’s film Karan Arjun.
It was during one of the song shoots of the film that both the actors were scolded by their co-star Mamta Kulkarni for not remembering their dance steps correctly. During an earlier appearance on Bigg Boss with Salman, Shah Rukh recalled the incident and said that they were feeling like the best dancers in the world during the song “Bhangra Paa Le” until they were pulled up by Mamta and told that they were ruining the song.
“There is hardly anyone who has scolded me and Salman both. Mamta ji did not approve our step. She said hers was fine but we were ruining the song. So me and Salman were standing on the side and Mamta ji did this (gestures snapping the fingers). Me and Salman both thought that she must not be speaking to us. But we turned and she was looking at us. Salman said she must be calling you and in my innocence, I even went up to her,” Shah Rukh shared.
