One Piece chapter 1130 was absolutely magnificent from start to finish, and while it certainly covered a lot of interesting aspects, the one thing that overshadowed everything else was the introduction of Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf.
Finally, after about 7 years of waiting, fans were finally introduced to Loki in One Piece chapter 1130. This chapter certainly delivered upon all expectations and more. A lot of lore about Loki was revealed in this chapter, as was lore about the land of Elbaf in general.
In a shocking turn of events, Oda went on to reveal Loki’s brother in One Piece chapter 1130 as well, and it ended up being someone who fans would have never guessed had any connection to him.
Loki’s Introduction In One Piece Came During Whole Cake Island
Loki Was To Marry Lola
Loki Is A Mighty Warrior
Loki was introduced in the Whole Cake Island Arc of One Piece. It was revealed through Big Mom that Loki, the Prince of Elbaf, was supposed to marry Lola, her daughter. For some reason, Loki was smitten with Lola, and while a marriage pact was ready to be formed between them, Lola decided that she wanted to pursue her own life by herself and find a match for herself based on her own choice. That is why Lola left Totland, and eventually, that is exactly how she came across Thriller Bark, lost her shadow, and of course, met the Straw Hat Pirates. It is safe to say that Lola found her man in Gotti, and they have already gotten married since. But, after her escape, Loki and the Giants’s relationship with the Big Mom Pirates soured even further. This was Loki’s first introduction in the story, and fans knew that this character would go on to become very important in the future of Elbaf.
He’s the shame of Elbaf…the Accursed Prince! – Giants
Finally, with One Piece reaching Elbaf Arc recently, fans knew that Loki would come into play sooner rather than later. In One Piece chapter 1130, Loki was finally introduced, and it was revealed that he is known as the Accursed Prince in the land of Elbaf. This is because ever since he was little, Loki was committed to doing all sorts of crimes. Eventually, Loki was punished for it by being sentenced to crucifixion. However, his might is such that it took the entire force of Elbaf, meaning every single warrior Giant from this mighty land needed to pool together their strength to restrain him.
The people of Elbaf believe that Loki, when he does break free, is going to destroy the world. This is tied directly to his Devil Fruit, which was revealed to be a legendary one in One Piece chapter 1130. Because of his legendary powers, Loki is now one to watch out for. But, Loki isn’t the only one who shares the title of the Prince of elbaf. There is another individual who holds this title, and fans have known him for quite long as well.
Loki’s Brother Is None Other Than Hajrudin
Hajrudin Was Born To King Harald
In One Piece chapter 1130, it was revealed to the fans that Loki’s brother is none other than Hajrudin, who fans know to be a member of the Straw Hat Grand fleet and the captain of the New Giant Warrior Pirates. Hajrudin is quite a capable Giant, whom fans were introduced to in Dressrosa. He wanted the Mera Mera no Mi, and while it felt trivial at the time, now it finally makes sense as to why that was the case. As Loki had killed their father, King Harald, and eaten the legendary devil fruit of Elbaf, Hajrudin probably wanted to attain a powerful Devil Fruit for himself and then aim to become the King.
I will attain the Mera Mera no Mi and become the King of Elbaf! – Hajrudin
Naturally, Hajrudin failed to accomplish his mission in Dressrosa. But, in exchange, he secured an alliance with Luffy, the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, and he currently serves as the Sixth Ship Captain of the Straw Hat Grand fleet. Hajrudin is incredibly powerful, and fans had a significant portion of his strength being revealed to them in Elbaf. There is definitely more to come from him, and at the time since Elbaf, he is sure to have grown much stronger. But, whether or not he can be compared to Loki is an interesting question.
Given how Loki is being described at this moment, it appears that he is far superior to Hajrudin in terms of power. These two don’t even seem like they are comparable in terms of strength. Hajrudin is strong, but Loki is capable of destroying the entire world. If that wasn’t enough, then, fans also know that it took the strength of every single giant on Elbaf, likely including Hajrudin, to finally restrain Loki. The fact that he is that strong means that there is no comparison between the two.
How Hajrudin And Loki’s Dynamic Will Play Out in Elbaf
Loki and Hajrudin Might Ally With Each Other Later On In Elbaf
Loki is currently restrained in what is the Niflheim version of Elbaf. But, he won’t be chained forever. In order for the story to progress, Loki will have to be let loose. This will happen at some point in the story, and might even be carried out by Luffy in the upcoming chapters. If Loki does get freed, he could potentially fight against Luffy, and this clash, which seems to be very close now, could end up being surprising in the sense that it won’t be a battle to the death.
The way Oda has portrayed Loki so far, he certainly does look like a villain. But, at the same time, the portrayal is rather similar to how the world saw Oden and, as fans know, there was a unique depth attached to him later down the line. Loki also believes himself to be the Sun God, which is the exact opposite of what he is described to be. This might lead one to believe that Loki is actually misguided and has interpreted a prophecy very wrongly. Luffy and Loki might ally at some point later down the line, and around this point, fans could see the two brothers come together and fight side by side.
To be more even, Hajrudin might find a powerful Devil Fruit for himself and eat it. It is also possible that he will strengthen himself in other ways. Regardless, Hajrudin and Loki will likely have to unite against a greater foe, which fans know will come through the World Government. Loki has a big role to play in the future of One Piece, but, it is likely that he will not be the King of Elbaf, and Hajrudin will rightfully claim this place. To do that, however, he has to grow stronger and fans cannot wait to see that. The bond of these brothers will be interesting to witness in this ARC, and hopefully, it will surprise the fans when it takes a complete U-turn and develops into something more heartwarming than it is described to be.
