Wayne Rooney has raised health concerns among fans after being photographed looking rather unwell while attending Manchester United‘s recent defeat to Tottenham yesterday.

The former England and United star was seen in the stands at Old Trafford during his old club’s 3-0 defeat, appearing noticeably upset by their performance.

At 38, Rooney had been in high spirits lately, having guided Plymouth Argyle to two victories in their last four Championship matches, aiding their fight for survival.

Despite this positive streak, concerns for his well-being have emerged just three years after his retirement from playing.

A photo of Rooney, dressed in a black coat while watching United, was shared by Sky Sports on X, prompting urgent messages from fans urging him to prioritize his health.

Now serving as the manager of Plymouth Argyle, Rooney transitioned to coaching after his retirement from football in 2021.

‘He looks really bad,’ one user commented in response to the photo.

Commenting on his weight gain, Rooney replied: ‘You know what? There’s a reason for that. During the past year, I’ve gained a bit of weight. So this is actually the only suit that fits me at the moment – I’ve got to make the most of it.’
