One Piece: Oda Set To Introduce A Legendary Old Pirate

One Piece’s Elbaf Arc continues to pick up steam as the story moves forward, and now, the initial phase of the arc is officially over. Once Elbaf began, fans knew that the story would move at a rather slow pace, and this was simply down to the fact that Oda loves to take his time exploring new countries. Elbaf was no different, and the Straw Hat Pirates certainly took their time to explore this land.

At the same time, fans got to see the geography of Elbaf being mapped out, and most importantly, Luffy and the Giants getting along very well. To conclude the exploration phase of the chapter, fans got to see a giant banquet, which officially took place in One Piece chapter 1135. This essentially means that the exploratory phase of the arc is over, and things are going to pick up steam moving forward. As things start getting more exciting, fans know that more important characters will start being introduced, and one of them might just be a legendary pirate that Oda has now officially teased in One Piece chapter 1135.

Colon’s Father And The Legendary Former Pirate

One Piece chapter 1135 introduced fans to quite a lot of exciting bits of information, such as the Owl’s library and the Iku Iku no Mi, and at the same time, many secrets about the character of Colon. Colon was introduced in One Piece long ago, before the Elbaf arc even began. Clearly, this character is important because otherwise Oda would not have introduced him so early. In One Piece chapter 1135, Colon officially met Luffy, and this was certainly a meeting to remember, both for him and the fans. Fans certainly took a liking to Colon immediately, but more than that, what was intriguing was the fact that Colon was revealed to be the son of a human and a giant.

Essentially, Colon is Ripley’s son, who was revealed to be one of the members of the last generation of the Giant Warrior Pirates. Ripley is quite powerful herself, but so is her husband, who is believed to be a human. Colon himself went on to say in the previous chapter that his dad used to be a pirate long ago, and back then, he wasn’t scared of even the Giant warriors, who are believed to be the mightiest race and the One Piece world.

Who Is Colon’s Father?

The biggest indicator of the fact that this is a former Roger pirate is the fact that this person used to be a legendary pirate and is not one any longer. This essentially means that whatever crew he was a part of does not exist anymore. Of course, out of the many pirate crews that fans have seen recently, the Roger Pirates would be the best guess, since they hold mighty strength and their importance to the overarching story is by far, the greatest, as they went on to conquer the One Piece. In the Roger Pirates, only Scopper Gaban would be a fitting member for this legendary pirate that Oda is yet to introduce.

The Role Of The Legendary Pirate In Elbaf

This person might actually have already been revealed in the story. A mysterious silhouetted figure appeared in Elbaf on two occasions. Before the Straw Hat Pirates came to this country, he was seen drinking while wearing a Kasa hat, waiting for the arrival of Luffy. He has since then been seen moving across Elbaf Village in the Sun World, but he hasn’t met Luffy just yet. In the upcoming few chapters, it is highly likely that whoever this mysterious character is, will go on to meet Luffy, and when that happens, his true identity will be made known. Fans will rejoice if this person truly turns out to be Scopper Gaban, and hopefully, this legendary individual will then be given a major role in One Piece, just as Rayleigh was before the time skip.

For now, All fans need to do is sit back patiently and wait for the next few chapters of One Piece to figure out who this person truly is. Oda will most definitely reveal the identity of this person in the upcoming few chapters, and it is safe to say that this character will only add more depth to the story, no matter which way fans look at it.
