THE CROODS (2025) is a new live-action adaptation of the popular animated film series, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zendaya in the lead roles. The story follows the Croods family—prehistoric people who survive by strictly following rules: hunting, eating, surviving, and always staying inside their cave. However, everything changes when the curious and strong-willed daughter Eep constantly breaks the rules to explore the world outside, causing her father Grug to worry and feel stressed.

Alongside Eep, the Croods family includes the gentle but clumsy son Thunk, the mischievous youngest daughter Sandy, the steadfast mother Ugga, the crafty Gran, and Guy—a clever young man with many new ideas who appears unexpectedly. Guy’s arrival and his modern inventions make Grug feel threatened in his role as the family’s protector, especially as Eep grows closer to Guy. To complicate matters, the Croods also encounter the Bettermans—a more civilized and modern family—which intensifies the generational and lifestyle conflicts.
