What happened on The Young and the Restless

This week on The Young and the Restless, Amanda prepared to free Nick in exchange for Nikki signing over Chancellor to Cane, but they discovered Nick and Sharon were gone. Sally headed down the mountain and learned the tracks had been clear for days. Sharon tended to Nick, and they shared a kiss. Cane offered to protect Carter if Carter had killed Damian. Carter confessed to murdering Damian to free the path for Cane and Lily to reunite.

Chance intervened, and Carter was infuriated when Cane admitted he couldn’t protect Carter. Carter took Lily hostage at gunpoint. Cane offered to trade himself for Lily. Chance raced in to subdue Carter, and the gun went off, fatally wounding Chance in the chest. Carter ran off and committed suicide by turning the gun on himself. Jack blamed Cane for the multiple deaths during the trip. Lily apologized to Cane for thinking he’d killed Damian. Cane felt guilty for not seeing that Carter had needed psychological help.

Billy and Phyllis contemplated teaming up to get Chancellor back with Cane’s help. Amanda unblocked the cell phone signal, restoring service to the guests. Victor contacted Adam to send a helicopter to take Nick to the hospital. Victor declared war on Cane. Lily and Victor ordered Cane to stay away from Genoa City, but Cane pledged to see his plans through. Victoria and Claire decided to postpone Cole’s memorial until the rest of the Newmans returned home.

Adam lent support to Victoria, and they bonded over their loyalty toward their family. Lily informed Nate about Damian’s death. A grieving Victoria and Nate leaned on one another. Nate gently broke the news to a devastated Amy. Cane’s guests began leaving France. Victor was miffed that Claire prioritized reuniting with Kyle over a family gathering. Kyle and Audra kept their passionate encounter from their significant others. Daniel and Diane separately assisted a frazzled Tessa with Aria.

Billy severed his business ties with Jack, and he was surprised when Jack agreed to sell his interest in Abbott Communications. Phyllis told Daniel about Cane’s plans to take over the major businesses in Genoa City.
