Cane’s Dramatic Comeback: Secrets, Shocking Twists, and Unexpected Alliances Unfold in Genoa City on The Young and the Restless, August 4-8!

Next week on The Young and the Restless, Adam (Mark Grossman) is surprised to see Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin) walk into his office at Newman Media. “What brings you guys by?” Adam asks. Claire tells her uncle, “Why else do Newmans drop by unannounced? To make a deal!”

What kind of deal are they looking for from Adam? It could be help with Victor — or are Kyle and Claire back to thinking about moving in together? At one point, they talked to Adam about his apartment that he had put on the market, but Victor (Eric Braeden) intervened and told him that he wasn’t allowed to let them have it. If that’s what they want, will Adam relent? Or do they want to use Newman Media for another plan that they have? Either way, if Adam is helping Kyle, Victor’s about to get tired of Adam’s defiance.

Meanwhile, at Society, Victor sits with Devon (Bryton James) and Lily (Christel Khalil). Victor asks Lily if she is aware that Cane (Billy Flynn) is back in town. “We were actually just talking about that,” Lily tells Victor. But when Lily reveals that she was planning on avoiding her ex at all costs, Victor says he doesn’t think it’s a great idea.

Is Victor going to try to distract Cane by letting him think that he has a chance with Lily? Or does he think if he can convince Lily to give Cane another chance, that she’ll be able to influence him not to go after Chancellor and other companies?

As for Cane, he is ready to get going on his plans for Genoa City. In his newly purchased Genoa City Athletic Club suite, he meets with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She’s surprised when he says they are waiting for someone else to join them. “They must be a heavy hitter if you’re letting them into your business world,” Phyllis notes. But to her dismay, when Cane opens the door, Billy (Jason Thompson) is there. “Who’s ready to make some waves?” Billy says with a grin.
