One Piece fans are back at it again but now their target is Loki and his Devil Fruit. Did the Accursed Prince kill his father for the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Hel?
The One Piece fans are rampant with theories after Loki’s long-awaited revelation and the insane amount of information dumped on them after it. Loki is far from the goofy silhouette we saw back in the Whole Cake Island Arc. He looks downright violent and even happy about “bringing the end of the world.” The Prince has even killed his own father to get his Devil Fruit which must be of high value. However, many fans have noticed a curious detail: Loki’s eyes are taped shut.

Many theories surround the Devil Fruit in his possession and base their theories mainly on Norse Mythology. This time, it’s about the Goddess Hel, Loki’s daughter. While most people might recognize the MCU version, Hela, who was Odin’s daughter, the lore of Hel is far more of a threat than Cate Blanchett. If Loki’s Devil Fruit in One Piece is the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Hel, the Prince must never open his eyes ever again.

Eiichiro Oda might be brewing something bigger than even Kaidou or Imu here with Loki. The mystery of his Devil Fruit has created more crazy theories within one month and all of them are so compelling. The YouTuber, Zhoniin, dives into this one in particular. Hel is depicted as the ruler of the underworld and the Goddess of Death. Her power knows no bounds in any iteration of hers. Even the MCU version couldn’t be defeated by the likes of Thor and Loki until Surtur was summoned to destroy Asgard. However, the version in One Piece that Loki might have will be far more deadly.
Loki is currently imprisoned and heavily shackled too. The Prince tried to escape but the giants banded together to stop him. However, in a dialogue from chapter 1130, it seems that the giant had devoted himself to darkness. Who else is devoted to darkness? Hel, the Goddess of Death.

But one detail that can’t be missed is that his eyes are covered and taped shut. Why would the giants of Elbaf, the strongest warriors in the One Piece universe, need to do this? Some fans have theorized Loki’s powers will include instant death if he gazes upon you, a similar power Hel possesses. This is the best possible explanation for covering his eyes unless he’s something like Cyclops and he can laser everyone.
Other Theories About Loki’s Devil Fruit in One Piece

The theory of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Hel is insanely cold and deadly. It would explain a lot of why the giants of Elbaf are that scared of him and call him the “accursed prince.” The switch from worshipping him to this was unexpected and while the Hel theory is fun, there’s a theory that Loki’s Devil Fruit will be the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Surtr instead.
Loki calls himself the “Sun God,” defying what we know about Nika, and says he will bring the end of the world. In Norse Mythology, Surtr matches this description the best and would make the Devil Fruit highly valuable, enough for a One Piece villain to kill someone close to them. For now, we have to wait and see what Oda has in store.
