One Piece Anime Will Be Moved To A New Time Slot

Earlier this year, it was announced that the One Piece anime would go on a hiatus until April 2025. The news came as a shock to fans, as the anime had never done something so drastic.

The sudden break was mainly due to the animators consistently performing at such a high level for months. Any One Piece fan will easily be able to discern the increase in the quality ever since the anime entered the Wano Country Arc. In order to preserve its newfound reputation, Toei Animation decided to take a break.

One Piece Anime Being Moved Could Be Big

To make matters more interesting, it has been confirmed that the One Piece anime is going to return in a brand new time slot. The previous time slot is going to be occupied by the To Be A Hero X anime. This could be a big game-changer for the series as a whole.

If One Piece anime is given a late time slot, it would mean less censorship, which in turn would help the anime to show the darker themes without any problems. This particular news has made fans even more excited about the anime’s return.

One Piece is also working on other projects, which include the live-action television series and the remake of the original anime by that studio. The One Piece live-action is currently filming the second season in Cape Town. Eiichiro Oda went to the location to see the performers in action. Following his visit, Oda released a statement expressing his excitement for the upcoming season. Oda also said that he was very happy with the new cast members.

Two One Piece Projects Are In The Works

  • A One Piece anime remake is in the works
  • One Piece Live Action is filming the second season

The One Piece remake by Wit Studio was announced a while ago, but it still does not have a release date yet. Earlier this year, the studio did reveal new character designs. The studio’s president also revealed that they planned to improve the pacing and to add new soundtracks and visuals.

One Piece will also be present at the upcoming Jump Festa and is likely to reveal new projects and provide updates regarding the old ones. No new news emerged regarding the new project, but that should change in the coming months.

One Piece is one of the biggest anime series in the world. It has sold over 500 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. In fact, there is no other manga that comes close to it.
