One Piece’s Jump Festa 2025 stage concluded recently, and it is safe to say that this was one of the most underwhelming stages that fans have seen in recent times. Usually, One Piece’s Jump Festa stages are packed with quite a lot of exciting information and major projects being revealed.

This year, there was no major project reveal, but, at the very least, fans did still get Oda’s yearly message which hyped them up for the major events to come.

As was expected, Oda teased events from the Elbaf article for One Piece, which are going to be taking place over the course of the next year. While the part that was concerning the Elbaf Arc was quite short, it did reveal quite an exciting bit of information, and once again, told fans that a certain individual would make a massive move in 2025.

As always, Oda dropped a message on Jump Festa. Here’s what he had to say:

SUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER!!! Yao-san! I’ll never forget my memory of the day you took me to that Kamabakka-ish bar! Thank you for being Franky for so long!! No matter where you go, you’ll always be our nakama!! And Subaru-san, I’m looking forward to having you on board!! And with that- Hello to everyone at Jump Festa!! Eiichiro Oda here- physical, primitive, and glamorous. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the anime, and it’s been a whirlwind of events from the opening of the Harajuku shop to the launch of the One Piece BASE app*, and before you know it, 2024 is coming to an end. I extend my deepest gratitude to our large team of staff! Fan Letter was so good, too! But what stood out the most for me was my first visit to South Africa, where the live-action series is being filmed. As reported earlier, I was moved by the love the cast and crew have for One Piece, and I was filled with a renewed sense of resolve.

People ask me, “Why are you putting so much effort into a live-action adaptation when One Piece is already popular around the world?” Yes, it may be quite known internationally in the manga and anime realm. But if you’re told that there’s a bigger playground out there in the world, wouldn’t you want to go and explore it? That’s why I’m putting my all into everything the manga, the anime, the films, and the live-action!! And so the team is lining up various projects and announcements for One Piece next year. Please look forward to the anime series resuming. And with an approach that’s more in tune with the times, I’m sure it’ll be easier for everyone to enjoy.

As for the manga, we’ve finally arrived in Elbaf! It’s a laid back kingdom, but the serenity is about to be shattered by the arrival of a particular man! Meanwhile, there will be tumult in other seas as well! And at last, that one guy will begin shaking up the world!

Oda Hypes Up Major Elbaf Developments

Oda’s message at this Jump Festa was quite long. Of course, the vast majority of it concerned the One Piece anime Voice Actor Kazuki Yao, who officially stepped down from voicing Franky and has now been officially replaced. But, fans need to turn their attention to the very last bit. Oda stated that 2025 is going to be absolutely massive for One Piece. According to Oda, Elbaf is a very laid-back Kingdom, which means that while they were once very active in war, things have changed greatly ever since. This was once again highlighted in One Piece chapter 1134, where Ripley clearly stated that Elbaf has changed its philosophy over the last 100 years.

The Man Who Will Shatter Elbaf’s Peace

Regardless of what happened in Elbaf in the past, the peace there is not going to last and people in the country are going to be forced to fight. This is because of the arrival of a certain character. Oda didn’t specify which character this was going to be, but, from the chapter itself, it was quite clear that this character is none other than Shanks’s twin, who fans saw arriving at the end of One Piece chapter 1134. This was further highlighted by Oda when a sneak peek of One Piece chapter 1134 was given to the fans during the Jump Festa stage.

Clearly, it is this character who is going to shatter the piece at Elbaf, and how he’s going to do it remains to be seen. It must also be remembered that he also has another fighter with him in Elbaf, and together, they are going to wreak havoc on the country. Fans absolutely cannot wait to see this event develop further.

The Man Who Will Shake The World

While there will be developments within Elbaf, as was mentioned by Oda already in his message, that doesn’t mean that events outside of Elbaf will not be focused upon. Oda clearly stated that the oceans around the world will grow more tumultuous than ever before, which means focus will be turned to other Yonko, and possibly Marines in the Revolutionary Army as well. This is something that fans expected to see, but it is nice to have confirmation from Oda finally.

But, the most exciting part of the message came at the very end, where Oda stated that a particular person will finally move and shake the world. This person could be anyone, but what fans know for sure is that it is going to be someone significant in the story. The main candidates for this person are likely Shanks, Dragon, and Blackbeard. It is unlikely for this person to be Dragon, because even though he is going to go to war, his moves are not likely going to shake the world, at least not yet.

This person could very well be Shanks, because fans know that he has finally started getting serious about his quest for the One Piece. Furthermore, Shanks’s twin might have hinted at that in One Piece chapter 907, when he spoke to the Five Elders.

And of course, Blackbeard is a great candidate as well, given that fans already know him to be a very dangerous character who continues to make ground in the quest for the One Piece. Blackbeard can easily shake the world in 2025, just like Shanks, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what developments await them next.
